Mascara Brows

Welcome! So lately, I’ve been switching up my usual brow routine and have incorporated mascara. Instead of using a separate product (and brush) to get a polished brow look, I’ve been swiping a coat of mascara on brows after coating my lashes. Not only does this save time and money, it also ensures I use up all of my mascara. Usually, when you dip your mascara brush into the tube and apply on lashes, there’s still excess product that has not totally been used up. Going over my brows in light strokes gets off residue missed from just applying to lashes. Now, this particular method works well for me because I have dark, black brow hair. For those of you with brunette or even blonde brow hairs, you would have to play around with different shades of mascara to ensure your brows don’t come off looking too harsh. Being in the age of beauty that we are in, you can find pretty much any color of mascara imaginable, even purple, so finding a shade that matches your coloring shouldn’t be too difficult. If you try this technique out, please let me know how it worked out  for you! Thanks for reading xx.

I will be doling out new content starting next week, I just needed a break to get my creative juices going again. Thank you for sticking with me and happy reading!

March Favorites

image

Hello!

I only have a few favorites for this month, even though it’s not yet over, but I wanted to share them with you all!
My first favorite is the My Burberry Eau de Parfum. I wore this particular fragrance a lot when I was abroad last year and just recently rediscovered it. Floral, fresh and completely grown up; this is a great scent for day and night.
My second favorite is Aveda’s new Beautifying Body Polish. Use this a few times a week in the shower and I swear, your skin will constantly feel like satin. My pants go on so easily now.
Next, I picked up Giorgio Armani’s Lip Maestro (technically it’s a liquid lipstick). This product stays on literally all night, and even into the next morning. All of the colors are highly pigmented so my only word of caution is to apply a precise application or you’ll be stuck with a messy lip for 24 hours.
Lastly, I have been reaching for this brick colored eye shadow by Aveda. I have never used a shadow that has complimented my eye color as much as this pigment does. I usually wear it alone with a little bit of mascara and my eyes always pop.
I hope you enjoyed reading! Xx

Brown Lipstick: Yes Or F*ck No?

Hello all! I apologize for the nearly month long hiatus. The good news is I’ve been doing some shopping during my absence so I have some goodies to share with you! One of the newest lip products I’ve picked up is the Jeffree Star Liquid Lipstick in Dominatrix. The color is a deep chocolate brown, so there’s no being shy when rocking this color. Looking at brands like MAC and the newest Kylie Lipkits, brown is definitely an on trend color for lips. I haven’t had the complete confidence yet to wear this shade out in public but I’m planning a grand appearance where I WILL wear this and look fab. Let me know what you guys think, are you into this brown or does it remind you of smeared poop or brownie batter on your lips? Thank you for reading! Xx

Beauty File: Clinique Beyond Perfecting Foundation

image

I’ve finally found it, the best foundation known to mankind. I know, I know, I was raving about the Nars foundation a few weeks ago. Don’t get me wrong, that is a fabulous foundation but this Clinique foundation is beyond (beyond perfecting). So what makes this product so great? Well not only is it a full coverage foundation, it is also a concealer. This may sound really heavy, but it goes on like a dream and feels weightless. There’s also a ton of actual product so it should last quite a while. All in all, if you’re looking for a flawless foundation, this is it.

Winter Blues

image

Hi hi so it’s winter, therefore it sucks outside. These are currently some of the things that are making me happy when I’m feeling blue: 1. Voluspa candle in French Cade Lavendar 2. Barry M Mermaid nail polish 3. Bauble choker necklace 4. Loreal Paris eyeshadow pot.

Gold and Purple Eye Look

Today I wanted to play around with some color since I usually stick with neutral eye makeup. I used the TooFaced Vegas Nay Stardust palette for the look, using Follow Me(purple), Golden Nugget(gold) and Sin City(black). I’m starting to like incorporating color into my makeup looks, so if anyone has any suggestions for different color combos, I’d love to hear them. Thanks for reading!

Rid Your Acne and Acne Scarring

imageSince the age of around 14, acne has been a part of me. That sounds weird to say, but I have literally always had acne on my face, in some degree. Two summers ago my skin became the worst it had ever been, and one of the worst acne breakouts I had ever seen. I was prescribed two medications, as my acne was cystic and needed to be treated internally. Fast forward to this summer, when my acne was pretty moderate. Then, I got a facial in July and my skin broke out horribly. It was November and my skin hadn’t gotten any better ( I am still on my medication). Luckily, I work at a spa and was able to have skin specialists take a look at my skin. I started getting high-frequency sessions every week. Almost immediately my new breakouts subsided and my scarring began to fade. You’re probably thinking, great I don’t have access to a spa or this type of treatment, how can I still rid my acne? Do not fear! For the internet is a blessed thing and you can purchase a high-frequency instrument yourself…..FOR $30. My only warning is not to overdue the treatment as it is an electrically charged tool and could cause permanent damage if abused. Christmas is coming up, perfect time to not have to pay for something you really want/ need.  Here is an example of what one looks like:
