Beauty File: BECCA x Jaclyn Hill Blush Duo

imageimage

I finally got my hands on the highlighter and blush duo by BECCA and it really and truly is everything I had imagined it to be. The blush, while being a bright pink, looks phenomenal; even on my pale skin. The highlight color looks literally ANGELIC and I received countless compliments, without people even really knowing what i had done different, just that it looked good. Sorry if it sounds like I’m gloating but this product truly is worth the hype (and the money). The shade I purchased is Hyacinth/Champagne Pop, price $38. Let me know if you’ve used any of the other shades and what your thoughts are. Thanks for reading! Xx

Mascara Brows

Welcome! So lately, I’ve been switching up my usual brow routine and have incorporated mascara. Instead of using a separate product (and brush) to get a polished brow look, I’ve been swiping a coat of mascara on brows after coating my lashes. Not only does this save time and money, it also ensures I use up all of my mascara. Usually, when you dip your mascara brush into the tube and apply on lashes, there’s still excess product that has not totally been used up. Going over my brows in light strokes gets off residue missed from just applying to lashes. Now, this particular method works well for me because I have dark, black brow hair. For those of you with brunette or even blonde brow hairs, you would have to play around with different shades of mascara to ensure your brows don’t come off looking too harsh. Being in the age of beauty that we are in, you can find pretty much any color of mascara imaginable, even purple, so finding a shade that matches your coloring shouldn’t be too difficult. If you try this technique out, please let me know how it worked out ¬†for you! Thanks for reading xx.

The picture on the left shows my brows with mascara, the picture on the right is my brows without any product on them.

Hello and happy summer! I’m feeling a bout of fresh energy and am feeling excited about breathing new life into this blog. As you’ve probably noticed, I reformatted the layout of my blog and am tailoring it more to what I initially envisioned. If you’re still with me at this point, please bear with me. I will be doling out new content starting next week, I just needed a break to get my creative juices going again. Thank you for sticking with me and happy reading!

March Favorites

Hello!

I only have a few favorites for this month, even though it’s not yet over, but I wanted to share them with you all!
My first favorite is the My Burberry Eau de Parfum. I wore this particular fragrance a lot when I was abroad last year and just recently rediscovered it. Floral, fresh and completely grown up; this is a great scent for day and night.
My second favorite is Aveda’s new Beautifying Body Polish. Use this a few times a week in the shower and I swear, your skin will constantly feel like satin. My pants go on so easily now.
Next, I picked up Giorgio Armani’s Lip Maestro (technically it’s a liquid lipstick). This product stays on literally all night, and even into the next morning. All of the colors are highly pigmented so my only word of caution is to apply a precise application or you’ll be stuck with a messy lip for 24 hours.
Lastly, I have been reaching for this brick colored eye shadow by Aveda. I have never used a shadow that has complimented my eye color as much as this pigment does. I usually wear it alone with a little bit of mascara and my eyes always pop.
I hope you enjoyed reading! Xx
